Into the Heart of the Southwest: 20 Painters Interpret Forbes Trinchera Ranch
Forbes and American Artist Magazine invited 20 artists (including Ibbotson) to spend a week together at Forbes Trinchera Ranch in Colorado and use their choice of subject, medium, and style to interpret the vast property. The artists were in residence from July 31 to August 8, 2006, and they were subsequently given three months to interpret their sketches, photographs, and paintings. Some of the resulting artwork was included in an exhibition at The Forbes Galleries and published in the March 2007 issue of American Artist.
The exhibition was displayed March 2 through May 5, 2007.
